Fradkin & McAlpin’s complete overhaul to an 1899 apartment building enlarges, modernizes and rationalizes the building as the home for the Czech Mission to the United Nations. Total number of apartments increased, including a large Ambassador’s duplex. Relocating the building’s core to the back yard enabled better layouts with complete new MEPF systems. A penthouse includes entertainment spaces, both inside and outside, under a pergola.
